Fashion label embraces Online focus

Nicole Miller, a NY fashion house that has been at the top of their industry for over 25 years, has shifted its entire marketing budget to online marketing. They are focusing their efforts on fashion blogs, social networking sites, and the web.

Although the use of a Blackberry at a runway show was initially considered poor manners, now tweeting, blogging and shooting video of the event are not only permitted, they are encouraged.

And the strategy appears to be working…online sales were up by more than half this summer, and are expected to double by the end of this year!
