Wendy Weber


Wendy Weber, Crandall Associates President and CEOWendy Weber is President of Crandall Associates, Inc., a national executive recruitment firm specializing in all facets of interactive & direct marketing since 1973. She is a second generation leader of the organization, which was the first search firm to recognize the emergence of direct marketing as a major marketing channel. Wendy got her start in direct marketing working in magazine circulation for such publications as Weight Watchers Magazine, Conde Nast Publications and Bon Appetit.

Wendy was recently inducted into the Hall of Fame for her local chapter of the Direct Marketing Association, recognizing her contributions over the years both as a direct marketing practitioner and a direct marketing recruiter.

During her years as a marketer, Wendy was named as one of Target Marketing Magazine’s 100 most influential marketers, and was the recipient of two gold and one silver Circulation Direct Marketing Folio Awards.

Wendy earned her M.B.A. from Pace University and her diploma in Direct Marketing from New York University. She is a frequent industry writer and speaker, and committed industry participant, having served on the Boards of the Fulfillment Manager’s Association, FIT’s Direct Marketing Advisory Board, DMA Long Island, and the Association of Personnel Consultants of New York.

Under Wendy’s leadership, Crandall Associates has diversified their recruiting practice to focus on digital and emerging media searches, while continuing to recruit talent for the offline channels upon which their reputation was built. Crandall clients are a veritable “who’s who” in direct and digital marketing, including catalogers, multichannel retailers, pure play ecommerce companies, nonprofits, direct marketing and media services agencies, and a host of others, in both B-C and B-B marketing.

Wendy has been a supporter of the direct marketing community by conducting pro bono talent searches to staff direct marketing teaching posts at Mercy College, and recruiting panelists for the DMA and Marketing EDGE on numerous occasions.
